Crazy Punch Dots for Center Time or Therapy, is a fun way to work on:

1. Eye Hand Coordination

2. Pencil Control

3. Grasp Development

4. Sequencing to follow a maze/pattern.

Developed by Jan McCleskey, MA, OTR from The Handwriting Clinic in Plano, Texas – this fun, tween themed activity is perfect for centers and table top work. Perfect for Kindergarten through elementary, special education, as well as for students in occupational therapy. This is perfect for special education classrooms with older students who need lower level work, but not babyish themes!

Materials needed:

Print and cut out clip art from file

Place over craft foam or a mouse pad

Use a golf tee or other puncher, to punch along the dots.

Also included is a therapeutic adaptation to work on grasp development using a TIP grip/golf tee to further enhance dynamic control of a pencil – by bending and pointing the last joint of the thumb. (instructions included).

FUN! Tried and tested at The Handwriting Clinic in Richardson, Texas. Punching is one of the students favorite fine motor labs!
