Fine Motor Scissors Skills: Pumpkin Themed Dotted Scissors Strips

FEATURED SALE PRODUCT – only $2.00. This is a high quality file of 20 pages of scissors skills activities progressing from easy to advanced. Created by Jan McCleskey, MA, OTR – The Fine Motor Store. Use during the months of October and November for a fun progression of scissors skills. Put in classroom fine motor labs or therapy kits.

3 sets of activities:

Activity 1: Cued turn targets for beginning scissors skills

Activity 2: Large easy scissors skills activities

Activity 3: Advanced scissors skills activities

Activity 1: Teach student to turn the scissors on the big dot! Often beginners tend to turn before the angle, leaving a deviation from the line. Once a student knows to turn on the dot, they are ready to begin the next set of scissors skills activities!

Activity 2: No cues for turning. But large, easy scissors skills. Progresses from straight, to curved to angled lines.

Activity 3: Smaller sized scissors skills. Progresses from straight, to curved to angled lines.

FUN! Easy to print and cut into 4 strips per page to add to center time or therapy kit labs.

Jan has some more advanced scissors skills activities on Jan McCleskey, MA OTR – The Fine Motor Store. These activities progress from simple to advanced within the same file. Very creative! Look for many themes in the following files:
