Ex of how to use the activity:

Instructor: “Read the cards. Find the picture/word that has an upper case letter. That is the first card. Now find the card that has a period or a question mark at the end. That is the last card. Now try to put the cards together to form a sentence”.

This activity is perfect for beginning writers! I use it with students at my handwriting clinic to give functional sentences to practice handwriting. This activity is perfect for low readers – the pictures help the student read more challenging words. It is also perfect for students with autism or language delays, to help form sentences.
