Pencil Grasp Fine Motor Pokey Pin Centers Activities Zoo Animal Themed. Easy prep center time activities that will work on fine motor skills, pencil grasp and pencil control. Perfect for preschool, pre-k, Kindergarten, first grade, occupational therapy or special education.

Instructions: EASY Prep!

1. Print pages

2. Use paper cutter to cut pages into 1/4’s (can cut multiple pages at once!)

3. Place stacks of 1/4 inch sheets into centers with a punch pad and a pokey pin!

Examples of Pokey Pins:

1. Golf Tee

2. Sharp Pencil

3. Corn cob holder (1 prong cut off, remaining prong dulled with rubbing along a file or sandpaper)

4. Push pin

5. Toothpick

Examples of Punch Pads:

1. Foam backed kitchen mat cut into 5 x 7 rectangles

2. Craft foam: Regular thickness works, but the thicker craft foam from the craft store will last forever

3. Styrofoam

4. Old mouse pad

Adaptation: Use the TIP grip!! This will promote a tripod grasp. There is a training video on how to do this in The Fine Motor Store on TpT. Here is the link:
