I own a handwriting clinic and work as an occupational therapist. I have over 200 products on TPT. Other than the First Strokes Handwriting Programs that are on my store on TPT, this is my absolute favorite file in my store (with the add on theme based activities for generalizing to words and sentences! I piloted it with students for several months, and the response in learning sizing and placement of letters sees substantial. It is different than other handwriting programs as it uses something that children are already familiar with – blocks, to show sizing! The students color code the blocks according to size, and make this a hands on program that gives visual sizing cues;

This file is a base file to work on individual letters and to introduce the concept of sizing. Add on files will be available for $8 each, for seasonal or themed based writing for generalizing to words and sentences. Look for the “Building Block” themed activities on The Fine Motor Store. The add-ons will allow a teacher to continue to provide year long activities for practicing handwriting line placement and sizing. Each add on will have 60 pages of words and sentences for a substantial amount of practice. The add-ons for words and sentences could be used as individual and separate files, but it is good to start with just basic letter formation and sizing with this base file/handwriting program.
