Shaving Cream Puff Creature

FUN!

Materials needed:

Shaving cream

Dixie cup

2 teaspoons glue

1/2 teaspoon paint (I use biocolor paint or colorations paint from Discount School Supply but any paint or food coloring would work)

Craft foam pieces and scissors

Index card

Wiggly eyes

Popcycle stick

Directions:

Fill Dixie cup 1/2 full of shaving cream. The shaving cream will expand to about 3/4 full.

Add 2 teaspoons glue and paint.

Stir with popcycle stick- but not rapidly.  Gently fold in the paint and glue to mix. If you stir rapidly, the shaving cream will lose it’s air and go flat.

Squeeze out the mixture onto an index card. Form into a round pile about 1/2 – 3/4 inches high.

Gently add wiggly eyes.   Cut craft foam pieces to make a creature!

Extra – write about it!

Here are some other shaving cream creatures that students made at The Handwriting Clinic!  I am so proud of their handwriting!  All students used the First Strokes Handwriting Programs – and the shaving cream creature was a motivating writing topic!
